Once upon a time, there was a man. And this man was called Nathan St.Havok.

And Nathan was a very clever man. So clever, in fact, that he was able to create technology so advanced, it was frightening.
Nathan worked for the English government. And he gave them his technology, thinking they would use it to improve people's lives and make his country a good, free place to live in.
But Nathan was wrong.

The government used Nathan's technology to make soldiers of terrifying power. They sent them out across England, rounding up those who were different, and killing them. Then they moved out into Scotland, Wales and Ireland. They fought back, but the soldiers killed all who opposed them in a tide of murder and bigotry.

The government called it the Reclamation Wars.

Nathan never forgave himself. Taking his most advanced technology (a serum that allowed whoever took it to manipulate magnetism, and a mysterious weapon known only as the Gridblade), he went out into Britain...
... and killed those who had murdered the innocents, or stood by and watched it happen.
